I was lucky enough to go this year, from May 12th – 17th, with a screenwriting friend of mine. My main purpose of going was to try to make some connections and to catch some new films... (more)

There he learned essential basics for camera work and editing. In winter of 2008 he collaborated with writer Brandon Taylor to create their first short film "One Minute". The Film received a Best Short Film Nomination at the Pocono Mountains Film Festival. Michael also received a Best Director nomination as well as Best Producer. Michael went on to direct a short film "In the Dark" as well as his first full feature "The Road Home". Both Films have been nominated at Pocono Mountains Film Festival 2009.

Q. Directing? Why directing?

A. I just love it. I get an indescribable feeling when an audience laughs, cries, or jumps at one of my films. That feeling keeps me going and wanting to create more.

Q. Bet you had some interesting times on set, huh?

A. Oh, you know it. Brandon losing his voice, the earthquake scene, croaking deities, E.R. trips,, random dogs peeing on equipment, Ryan as the crocodile hunter, Christina getting lost, Ashton's noises, Melissa's... well... everything. It's always a blast.

Q. So, will we ever see you actually in a film?

A. You know, I think I may just pull a Hitchcock in the next film.
