Catch me if you Cannes

June 3rd, 2010 by Stephen Durrant

Going to the Festival de Cannes is a truly great and inspiring experience, no matter what you do or whereabouts you are in the film industry. I was lucky enough to go this year, from May 12th – 17th, with a screenwriting friend of mine. My main purpose of going was to try to make some connections and to catch some new films... (more)

The Day Of

June 7th, 2010 by Erin Lanza

It seemed like just yesterday I walked into the empty black box of ESU to audition of the film "Never Too Late".  As I walked in to the room, I didn't realize that the people that were "sizing me up", so to speak, for the audition, would be the people I would spend much of my summer with... (more)

Anthony DiMichele is a new addition behind the scenes to The Hollow Tree Films' family. Anthony had a role in "In The Dark" as Eric and also had a supporting role in Hollow Tree Films first feature length film "The Road Home".

Anthony has been involved as an actor with with theatre and film since high school acting in plays, musicals, and a school film. This summer Anthony worked as an intern at a local playhouse where he mostly worked behind the scenes involved with set building and stage managing. Through those experiences Anthony looks forward to continue working with Hollow Tree Films on their future projects behind and infront of the camera.

As of recently, Anthony has become the assistant casting director and second assistant director for Hollow Tree Films' new feature length film, "Never Too Late".

Q. So you began acting, but now you're transitioning to behind the scenes roles. Why?

I found that I enjoyed working behind the scenes just as much as working on stage or in front of the camera. You really get to see the growth of any project when you work behind the scenes, much more than an actor would, I feel.

Q. You have a reputation as a funny man, hm?

A. People usually refer to me or know me as the “funny guy”. I just really like to make people laugh. I don’t go without a day where I don’t make at least one person laugh. Life’s too short; we don’t have to take it so seriously all the time.

Q. If you could have any role, what would it be?

A. If I could have any role from any movie it would most likely have to be Neo in The Matrix. One of my favorite movies, and he is just badass in the first part of that trilogy.
